Expand the drop down next to "Smart Card". 5. Right click on the option provided and click "Update Driver". 6. Select the file directory where you extracted the drivers. When starting my computer I get the popup attached below, it comes up and has to be dismissed a total of four times. This happens on two different Windows 10 devices I use. I use a smart card to access enterprise webmail on occasion and that works without issue. I do not use the smart card to log into my personal devices. Try reinstalling the smart card driver in Safe Mode. Reboot your computer and enter Safe Mode (usually by pressing F8 at startup or through the Recovery option in Settings). Once in Safe Mode, uninstall the smart card reader driver from Device Manager. Restart your computer normally and let Windows reinstall the driver.
