TIL: You can use old credit cards as NFC tags. Don't know why I never thought about this, but one can use old credit cards as free NFC tags. I was messing around with NFC tags and left .NFC enabled access is quite simple: when reading out the number string from the key, it matches the database for an entry and when there is an entry with that number, the door opens. At my work I can add such a number string to my account and was able to open doors using my NFC .
